Bursaries Available for High School Students from Lockview, Millwood, Sackville and C. P. Allen High Schools. Apply Now

Grade 12 students graduating from Lockview, Millwood, Sackville, or C.P. Allen High School interested in pursuing a post-secondary education in the medical or healthcare field are eligible to win a $1,000 bursary. One bursary will be awarded to each school so we invite students to apply if interested in these fields. Preference will be given to programs including Medical-Laboratory Technologist, Physiotherapy Assistant, EKG-Technologist, X-Ray Technologist, Pharmacy Clerk, and Orthotech.
Making A Difference Campaign - A Success - Thank You!

A special thank you to our partners for their support for the Making A Difference Campaign. The goal of this campaign was to raise $250,000 for a Mobile Digital X-ray System, and thanks to our generous sponsors we now have the funds necessary to purchase this piece of equipment for the Cobequid Community Health Centre.

The dates for this year’s annual events for the Cobequid Foundation have been set! As we strive to raise funds for priority medical equipment for the Cobequid Centre, we look for your support and contributions as both participants and volunteers. Please join us on the following dates for our signature events in support of our community:

Grand Day for Cobequid: Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Grand Lake from 8am to noon.
Walk/ Run for the Health of our Community: Sunday, October 14, 2012 at the Cobequid Community Health Centre.
Gift of Light: Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at the Cobequid Community Health Centre.

We are always looking for volunteers for these events both in the planning stages and on the day of the event. If you would like more information or are interested in volunteering please call 869-6111.

In order to make our events possible, we look for support within the community to partner with us to create a fun and exciting event for participants and volunteers. Our past events have been a great success due to the dedicated individuals and businesses that have been a part of these fabulous events.

We know at the Foundation that without the help of the community the Cobequid Centre would not exist and we thank those who have been involved in our events in past years. This year our Grand Day event is on June 23rd and the Walk Run for the Health of Our Community is on October 14th.
